A Vigil of Lament | October 18
Join us on Saturday, October 18th at 6:30p for a candlelight vigil to pray for justice, lament racial violence, mourn missing and murdered Indigenous woman and relatives, and look ahead in hope.
We will be joined by Cinnamon Bankey, Executive Director at Mending the Sacred Hoop.
Mending the Sacred Hoop is a local non-profit that works from a social change perspective to end domestic, dating, sexual violence, trafficking, and stalking against American Indian/Alaska Native people while restoring the safety, sovereignty, and sacredness of our women.
All are welcome!
What to Expect on Sunday:
Zion's weekly Holy Communion service is at 9:30 am.
All are welcome at the Lord's Table.
Zion Lutheran Church is an open community of faith where all are
invited to worship, learn, grow, care and be cared for. Zion Lutheran Church is an Reconciling in Christ (RIC) community.
Visitors are
welcome to participate in any and all opportunities Zion has to offer.
Children are welcome during the service as integral members of the body of Christ.
Please come in whatever clothing is most comfortable for you. There is no dress code.
Following the service, there is coffee, fellowship, and, on the Second Sunday of the month during the school year, Intergenerational Faith Formation in the Social Hall. We look forward to seeing you there!

Second Sunday Surprise Intergenerational Sunday School has begun!!! Mark your calendars!

We begin around 10:45 with coffee and discussion, participate in a craft and fellowship time and finish with a free-will offering lunch. All are welcome!
Book Club | October 16
Join the Zion Book Club on Thursday October 16th at 11a in the lounge. We will be discussing My Friends by Fredrik Backman!
MEatball Supper | Wednesday October 29
Join us for a Zion Fundraiser in collaboration with the DAV!
Wednesday October 29th from 4-7 in the Zion Social Hall we will be serving a delicious dinner of meatballs with homemade apple crisp for dessert! The apples are harvested from our orchard and promise to be delicious!
Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children ten and under.
They can be purchased before or after worship on Sundays.
A volunteer sign up is also available in the hall outside of the office!

Quilters | Tuesday Mornings
The Quilters will begin fall meetings on Tuesday, September 9th at 9a in the Social Hall! All skill levels are welcome join this friendly group! See you there!
Choir Practice | 1st Wednesdays
Zion Choir is beginning practices on the 1st Wednesdays of the month at 6:30p at the Presbyterian Church of Cloquet [47 4th Street]!
Join a fun group of singers and lend your voice to our (typically) once a month musical offering during liturgy! All are welcome! 
Practices will be scheduled once monthly with potential extra times for Advent & Lent/Easter. Contact Jim Sheetz for more information!

Pastor Christina's typical weekly office schedule this autumn is as follows:
Monday | 9-4p
Tuesday | 11-2p (Text study in the morning.)
Wednesday |Offsite (Visitation or work from home. Onsite for evening services or confirmation when applicable.)
Thursday | 9-12p
Pastor's days off are Friday and Saturday.
Sunday | 8-12p (Worship & Fellowship 9:00-11:30.)
