What to Expect on Sunday:
Zion's weekly Holy Communion service is at 9:30 am.
All are welcome at the Lord's Table.
Zion Lutheran Church is an open community of faith where all are invited to worship, learn, grow, care and be cared for. Visitors are welcome to participate in any and all opportunities Zion has to offer.
Children are welcome during the service as integral members of the body of Christ.
Please come in whatever clothing is most comfortable for you. There is no dress code.
Following the service, there is coffee, fellowship, and, on the Second Sunday of the month during the school year, Intergenerational Faith Formation in the Social Hall. We look forward to seeing you there!

Introducing: Pastor Christina
she/her or they/them
Christina began as Zion’s pastor in July 2024. Pastor Christina graduated with a Master of Divinity from Wartburg Theological Seminary in 2024 and has a bachelors in psychology from Bethel University (St. Paul).
Pastor Christina is passionate about inclusivity and accessibility in the Church and uses an accompaniment model in her ministry. They are an empathetic listener, deep thinker, thoughtful friend and fierce
advocate.

God's Work. Our Hands.
Please note the updated date. Prior notices have listed the National Date of September 8th but Zion will be participating on our local date of Sunday, September 15th.
We will have both indoor kits to assemble and outdoor projects. Outdoor projects will include yard work, getting flower beds ready for winter, window washing and other outdoor projects. We will begin after the Worship Service and end with lunch at Dunlap Park. Lunch will be provided by Room At The Table food truck. This is a great time to get to know members from the 4 churches in our community that are working together to serve our neighbors. It is a great day for everyone. We will have a sign- up sheet so we will know how many are working that day. We also have shirts for those who need one.
If you have a project or know someone who needs our help please let Kathy Blascyk or Ruth Jorgenson know or call the church office and it will be passed on to us.
You can look at the list of items on the website to donate for the indoor projects or you can donate money and we will do the shopping for you.
Please consider coming and helping on September 15th. It is a great day of service and a lot of fun.
God's Work.
Our Hands.
Each month in the lead up to God's Work. Our Hands. on September 15th we will be collecting some specific items needed for the kits that we put together. Locally we are joined in this event by Bethesda Lutheran (Carlton), Our Savior's Lutheran (Cloquet), and Queen of Peace (Cloquet).
Zions Items:
May: Sturdy Combs & Bar Soap (Full sized bars, not antibacterial or heavily scented, and no Ivory.)
June: Full Sized Towels + Dark Colored Hand Towels
July: Cotton t-shirts size 6 months-24 months. (Please no onesies, camouflage, religious or military designs).
August: Wooden School Rulers, Child-sized Scissors, & Notebooks (70 sheet, spiral bound, wide or college ruled.)
Items can be dropped off in the hall by the office.
Worship Options
We worship together on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am. You can worship with us online through Facebook and YouTube. Sunday services are posted to social media by early afternoon. You
can also listen on WKLK 1230 AM on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am and watch
on CAT-7 on Sundays at 6:00 pm and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm – or here on our website by clicking the link below.
