Confirmation is open to youth beginning in the 8th grade, though young people are encouraged to join any year after that works for them! The program is a 2-year experience-based program. Confirmation classes are typically held Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm. 

We operate on a rotating curriculum, so all youth engaging in the program experience the full programming. One of the two years we use  the curriculum "Confirm not Conform". The second year of the program we focus on Peer Ministry Leadership Training, bible, and the Lutheran tradition.

As a part of our confirmation programming, we also offer a mentor program, pairing each confirmation student with an adult in Zion’s faith community to journey with the student through confirmation and beyond, exploring questions of faith and life together, and intentional faith experiences throughout the year where students can participate in service and learning work together.
